Mediation
John mediates pre-suit disputes as well as state and federal litigation and arbitration matters. He has an evaluative style as a mediator. John helps the parties evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their case, identifies interests and crafts novel solutions to problems. He encourages the parties to make a business decision and evaluate resolution by weighing the settlement options available at the end of the day versus the best alternatives available to the parties if they decide not to resolve the case. He believes these principles can be applied to any type of case.
Arbitration
John offers his services as a private arbitrator in complex disputes. John works with the parties to customize a framework to allow for the efficient and cost effective resolution of disputes through binding arbitration.
Case Evaluation
Attorneys consult with John to assist in evaluating their cases for purposes of settlement. John offers case evaluation services for parties and counsel. John can help provide an objective view of the strengths and weaknesses of a client’s case and can offer advice on how to position their case with the goal toward obtaining an optimal settlement.
Neutral Case Management
In complex disputes, and in the context of providing mediation services, John offers neutral case management services to maximize the potential for resolution at mediation. John works with the parties to develop a case management plan with the objective of identifying the barriers to settlement and putting together an action plan to address those obstacles. John helps the parties identify information necessary for the parties to be able to properly evaluate their case for mediation, and then works with the parties to obtain that information in the most cost effective manner. In addition to matters already in the court system, neutral case management can be especially valuable in pre-suit matters to keep litigation costs down.
Negotiation Services
John is available to negotiate business agreements as well as the resolution of disputes. John is available to negotiate directly with the opposing side or provide behind the scenes guidance to the client and their counsel. Please call for additional information.
